About Midstream Blinds: Measured Inside the Estate, Fitted by the Same Team

Midstream Blinds is a measuring, manufacturing and fitting service for family homes inside this estate and the estates near it. This page says what that means in practice, where the service runs, how a job goes from form to fitted, and what it will not claim.

Built for a Highveld estate

Midstream sits south of Centurion off the N1, one of the country's largest family lifestyle estates, with its precincts spread wide and low under an open Highveld sky and newer than its trees. The default floor plan is a double-volume entrance, open-plan living and walls of sliding glass onto a covered patio, which means west and north-facing glass carries the full weight of the afternoon sun through summer. That is the argument for sunscreen fabric on the elevations that catch it, exterior shading on the ones that catch it worst, and motorisation wherever a chain stops being practical.

Roller blinds, day and night blinds, cellular blinds and motorised systems are all made to dimensions taken off your own openings and installed by the same team that measured them; nothing is sold in a standard size. The collection runs to blockout and sunscreen rollers, double rollers, aluminium and timber venetians, cellular blinds, vertical and panel blinds, concealed and recessed blind boxes, motorised blinds and automation, folding-arm awnings with wind sensors, motorised roller shutters, and repairs and re-cording of blinds already up. Child-safe operation is standard.

Midstream first, the neighbours too

The service covers all of Midstream's residential precincts, then the estates and suburbs around Centurion. Irene is two neighbourhoods sharing one name: an oak-lined heritage village of timber sash and casement windows, and newer estate pockets with the same open-plan glass as Midstream. Southdowns Estate is built around its own golf course, with expansive fairway-facing glazing and long uninterrupted sliders. Raslouw is older smallholdings subdividing into new security estates, so blank new-build glass and irregular older openings sit on the same road. Copperleaf Golf Estate sits within the greater Midstream footprint with premium new-build homes designed so the living room and the fairway feel like one space.

Four steps, and one visit does most of it

A couple of minutes on the form or the chat, telling us which neighbourhood, how many windows and what is bothering you about the light, and one of our expert consultants will contact you shortly to arrange a free in-home measure inside the estate. The consultant comes to you with fabric and slat samples you can judge in your own home's light, measures every opening precisely, and matches fabric, openness and control to what each room actually gets through an afternoon.

A written quote follows, itemised per window, with lead times stated on it and no obligation attached; nothing gets manufactured until you have signed it off, and if you say you are only researching we leave you alone. Once approved, everything is manufactured for your exact openings and installed cleanly by our own team, tested and demonstrated before we go. Every visit starts at the boom, and every quote starts the same honest way.

What this service does not claim

It does not guess. Nothing is quoted from a photograph or down a phone line; your own numbers come out of the measure and go on paper, and lead times are confirmed on that same quote. Its roller shutters are made for sun, heat, glare and blackout control on the outside of the glass, with the hail season covered while they are at it; they are not a security-rated product, which is a different thing quoted on request. It fits blinds and does not speak for your HOA: it says plainly at the measure which options touch the outside and supplies the documentation, but the approval is the estate's to give. And it offers only what is listed on this site.

The Light and Privacy Playbook

Before you pick a single blind, the Playbook sets out what the open Highveld sun actually does to a Midstream stand, elevation by elevation and season by season: the published sun geometry for this patch of sky, the four walls and what each is really asking for, the products we fit with the catch attached to every one of them, who signs off on what, and the five things only an hour with a tape measure can settle. It is free to read, nothing is gated, and its sources are listed at the end. Name your problem rooms and it comes back by email marked up against your own elevations, with no visit booked and nobody ringing.

Getting in touch

Every page carries an enquiry form and an on-page chat that answers product and estate questions, and those are the ways in. An enquiry books a free in-home measure, not a purchase, and a consultant calls back to confirm a time; you can also send rough sizes through the window list for a budget range first. What you send is used to book the visit and for nothing further, in line with POPIA: no marketing lists, no sharing, no selling.
